JAPANESE CURRY BANH MI

Japanese Curry Bread is a super delicious dish that combines Vietnamese culinary culture and Japanese culinary culture.

- Traditional Banh Mi, Black Sesame Banh Mi, or Whole Wheat Bread from O’Smiles
- 700g beef
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion
- 2 tomatoes
- Cashew oil
- Minced onion & garlic
- Coconut water
- Broth seasoning: curry powder, lemongrass, ginger, star anise, cinnamon
- Bake O'Smiles' Banh Mi in an oven or air fryer (remember to preheat the oven before baking Banh Mi). Bake at 200°C for 5 MINUTES
- In a container, put together cashew oil, spices, garlic and half a head of minced onion. Combine the mixture and the beef, let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pot over medium-high heat, add in onion, garlic, lemongrass, ginger, and curry powder. Stir frequently to bring out the flavor in garlic and onion. Then, put in the marinated beef and stir-fry (in about 10 minutes) until the beef surface turns golden brown.
- Fill the pot with coconut water, add in star anise, cinnamon, and tomato. Bring to boil and reduce heat, simmer for 30 minutes.
- Finally, add carrots and onions. Cook over medium heat until tender.
